fire damage sage restoration

Fire damage cleanup and repair can be a lengthy and costly process for a family to go through. The picture linked with this blog, shows how much damage can be caused by a fire started from a grill. The grill was set to close to the house and a heavy wind caused sparks to set the side of the house on fire. The interior of the upstairs bedroom incurred a lot of smoke damage and the siding and roof obviously needed major repairs.  It takes time to properly clean and remove smoke damage in a property and many times affected contents have to be cleaned as well. If the fire damage was severe, drywall and insulation may need to be removed and replaced and in some cases the home may require complete demolition and remodel.  The time frame can range from a couple of weeks to 6 months or year before the home is ready to be occupied again.

Check out the grilling fire safety tips listed below to keep you and your family safe from fire injuries or fire damage!
